Hi, anyone knows if there is a way to play Dead Island in co-op with more than 4 players, like 5 players or more? Any mod to modify the friend or public slots ? I've been searching for a while, but no luck. I only found mods for weapons, enemies, etc. I think co-op player limits should be more flexible, to fit for lan partys. At the time of writing, there are no competitive, ranked or PvP modes of multiplayer in Dead Island 2. All that players can do in multiplayer is play co-operatively, taking on hordes
Likely because the zombies would be scaled to the host, and thus too difficult for the player with lower level. But this doesn't mean they can't play with eachother. You just have to make sure the player with the lower level is the one hosting the game. My friend started a character while i had one at around lvl 20.
Interested to know what everyone thinks. I used to love playing Dead Island in co op, but Dead Island 2 I'll definitely be playing single-player as life and schedules get in the way these days. I can't really remember if previous Dead Islands were enjoyable solo, or ifnmultiplayer was a must have. Do you think 2 will be enjoyable/feasible solo?
Press Alt+Tab and select Player 1’s instance. Mute audio and change Control to Controller in Player 2’s instance and then Exit. Launch Nucleus Co-op. Open Dead Island Definitive Config Folder. Edit video.scr ,change Resolution to Resolution (960,1080) and then Save. Setup Controls and Split Screen in Nucleus Co-op.

To play Co-op you simply press “new game” , choose a character, and after that you are in this boat thing. After that you are stranded on this big Island. Great! You did it, now you just need to invite a friend to join you and finally you can play Co-op.
