Also a notch up from the econo zooms is a 7-blade medium-fast aperture that starts at f/3.5, goes to f/4 around 37mm and then to f/4.5 around 70mm. » Canon EF 28-105mm f/4-5.6 USM Lens Review Canon & Sony News, Deals, Blog Ends Tomorrow: Skylum Luminar Cyber Week Sale – Up to 85% Off, Luminar Neo Only $79.00 and $119.00 for 12 and 24 month subscriptions Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM Lens Review. The sharpness tests for this review were carried out using a real-world subject rather than a test chart. Given Canon’s recent series of home-run lens upgrades, I expected the Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 IS II would be a superb lens. I was particularly expecting improvement at 105mm, which was the weak point of the original lens.

Canon also has a 24-70mm f/4 lens, which is available for less than half the price of the f/2.8 version, which is something to consider if you don’t often shoot in low light. The 24-70mm f/2.8 L II USM is favoured by professionals and enthusiasts alike, giving you a great option for landscapes, portraits and subjects in between. Pros:
